Dan Garrett in M-U-M, July 2006. “Those readers who know my association with Gene Anderson will understandably question whether my review of this marvelous effect will be biased. Let’s get one thing straight right away... it will be! Regardless, I challenge anyone to question its accuracy.

First, let’s take a look at the effect. Simplicity. Gene Anderson is able to break down the description into twelve words: “You draw a girl. She draws you. The drawings magically change places.” The ability to describe the effect so succinctly speaks volumes about the simplicity and directness of the effect.

Secondly, universal appeal. The routine transcends age, language and culture. It’s funny, but with a very strong payoff. A family performer will search high and low to find a routine to appeal to all ages from 4 to 94. Picto Transpo is such a rare jewel.

The DVD is one of the best instructional DVD’s I’ve ever seen. Gene knows how to impart information. It is clear, concise, easy to understand, and above all else... FUN! If, for some strange reason you don’t have access to a DVD player, the printed instructions are completely thorough and will themselves give you all the information you need.

So, are you guessing by now that I like this? It is a masterpiece from one of our top magic creators and performers. It’s highly visual, very magical, easy to do, and can be performed for almost any audience. What’s not to like? I don’t have any ‘rating system’ but Picto Transpo would have to receive the highest possible rating in any system I could devise.
