Penguin Live Lecture

Penguin Magic's "Gene Anderson Live" Lecture was streamed to the online world on August 27, 2017. Although I was definitely alive, I wasn't being viewed "live." The filming had been done a month earlier in two live performances, and the multiple digital feeds were coalesced into one "live" lecture by the Penguin electronic wizards.

This Penguin Live lecture has been available as a $29.95 download at www.penguinmagic.com since August 2017. However, I received a small stack of download cards as part of my lecture fee, and I'm allowed to do with them as I wish. I think $15.00 is the perfect price, and a bargain.

The PayPal link will send your order to me. I will send an e-mail to you with a link to my Penguin Lecture and your unique code. A click on that link will automatically place my lecture into the Penguin Magic shopping basket, with free (prepaid) checkout. Your lecture download will be available whenever you wish.

What you should know: The title of my lecture is, "The Book LIVE," and everything I do is from The Book. Penguin's approach to filming lectures was intriguing, and Dan Harlan was a wonderful lecture host. Few people know that Dan was a graphic designer in my town before he became a full-time magician, so he's a long-time friend. Be sure to watch Dan's interview at the end, We were obviously having fun, and it's pretty entertaining.

Below is what I performed and described in the Penguin Live Lecture. I highlighted "Improving Your Routines" here because it's what I am really hoping to convey in the lecture. Of course I'll be very pleased if you learn any one of my routines, but what I really want you to come away with is the methodology and approach that underlie improving any particular trick of your own, and to making your trick(s) better, more novel, and more entertaining.

  • Picto Transpo
  • Nemo Jumbo Rising Cards
  • Improving Your Routines
  • Torn and Restored Newspaper
  • Star of the Show
  • Si Stebbins Card Routine
  • Vanishing Match
  • Hello Trick
  • Tables
  • Harbin's Card in Bottle
  • Die Box Routine

What else you should know: The Penguin Live lecture is a good companion to The Book, but it is not a replacement for The Book. Some things really do need step-by-step instructions. Folding paper objects is a good example. The benefit of seeing something performed on video is in the overview perspective that provides. When you see how it's presented, you realize this actually might fit you, and that it is something you wish to pursue.
